The Volupté shelf is small on purpose. Eleven brands, two retinoids, one acid. Everything we use, we use because we wanted to use it after a quiet year of trying.
We have politely declined eight ingredient lines this year alone. None for bad reasons — they were all reputable. They simply didn't earn the shelf. A curator's job is to say no to most things.
If something we use changes, you'll hear about it here first, with the reasoning. We do not swap brands quietly.
